Desi

Desi formed a band in 1983 under the name of
CLOUT.  The band performed for political functions, D.C. Recreation Department, The Carter Barren Amphitheater and of course cabarets and parties throughout the Metropolitan area.  In 1986, Desi decided to disassemble the band and move to Los Angeles the Mecca of entertainment and deal on a larger scale.  There in LA, Desi worked with Setab Recording Company under the direction of Wendell Bates.  Desi penned the song Together, Forever which went Number One on three European charts.  Soon after, the video on single Golden Lady was produced with Desi and National radio personality Robin Breedon. Realizing that Setab would not allow him to grow to the next level, Desi moved back to Washington D.C. and founded the CLOUT Entertainment Group, Inc.

Desi the singer His big warm vocals, surrounded by heart pleasing, rhythmic grooves give sincerity to those his music touches.  Desi, born in Wilmington North Carolina and raised in Washington D.C. has a flavor that fuses a combination of R&B, Pop and spiritual blends.  You feel the influence of passion and pain of the late Marvin Gaye, the sincerity of Stevie Wonder and the silky smoothness of Luther Vandross in every song he signs.  A balladeer at heart, Desi thrives off of true love songs that reveal the inner soul of a man.

Desis first project under the CLOUT Entertainment Group was Public Image Number One.  This project received recognition in Japan and Europe.  One of the key tunes from this first album was Where Eagles Fly this uplifting tune was very significant as a play was named from it and was performed in Washington D.C. at the Lincoln Theatre under the direction of Mike Malone.

Desi then joined forces with John Kennedy Horne of the HORNE Entertainment Group Inc.. At that time, John Horne was the co-manager of two time Heavyweight Champion fighter Mike Tyson.  Through their close relationship, Desi became the first artist to release an album on HORNE Records, Inc.  The press release read as follows:
